OMAR QUIROGA:
Dancer and teacher of Argentine tango for over 20 years.
He is also working as a tango DJ in recent years, expressing his extensive knowledge of the various orchestras with a dynamic and romantic style that brings warmth to the dance floor with every tanda.
For over a decade, he has worked as a dancer, choreographer, and co-director, alongside Verónica Palacios, of the Barcelona-based Tango Amado company.
A distinguished Argentine teacher, also with over two decades of professional experience. Along with Omar Quiroga, she is an artistic partner and co-founder of the Tango Amado company, with extensive international experience in festivals, seminars, and shows such as Camilo Tango Show and Volver a Soñar.
Verónica and Omar’s teaching focuses on deep communication between leaders and followers, fostering elegant improvisation, sensitivity in the embrace, and authentic musical expression.
They seek to transmit emotion and connection on the dance floor, emphasizing the importance of feeling the music and your partner.
A true “classic” at our event. By popular demand, he has been present at 10 of the 11 editions of Sol de Invierno. He has extensive experience as a Tango DJ, both at milongas (along with his wife, Sara Lobo, they pioneered tango dancing on the Costa del Sol) and at national and international festivals. He perfectly blends his knowledge of tango orchestras with his characteristic Andalusian joy, which always keeps the dance floor full of happy dancers.
Professional Argentine tango guitarist and singer based in Barcelona. Co-organizer of milongas and festivals (for example, the former Sitges Tango Festival, and this Sol de Invierno), DJ, and tango teacher (music and dance) in Buenos Aires and Barcelona for the past 25 years. His deep musical knowledge makes his job as a Tango DJ easier.
