How to get there

By PLANE:

To arrive to Salobreña there are two possible close airports:


The International Airport of Malaga is placed 85 km from Salobreña and 5 Km. from Malaga city. It has numerous connections of national and international flights with almost all the Spanish and European main cities.

To go from the International Airport of Malaga to Salobreña (by public transport), first you should get the Train or Bus (or taxi) to the Intermodal Station Maria Zambrano placed in the downtown of Malaga (frequency of train or bus every 30 min., time of trip 15 min.). From there it is necessary to take the Bus to Salobreña (see information below). A taxi from the Airport of Malaga to Salobreña costs 100 € approximately, and the trip takes 1h 15 min approximately.

The Airport of Granada is placed 70 Km from Salobreña. This airport receives national flights and a few of international flights. To go from the Airport of Granada to Salobreña (by public transport) it is necessary to take a bus or a taxi to the Bus Station of Granada, placed 15 km from the airport. From the above mentioned Bus station of Granada it is necessary to take the bus to Salobreña (see information below). A taxi from the Airport of Granada to Salobreña costs 80 € approximately. and the trip takes 1 h. approximately.

By TRAIN:

The nearest train station to Salobreña (70 km) is the station of Granada. Recently it has been inaugurated the high-speed railway service (AVE) that connects Granada with several of the main cities of central and northern Spain (Ciudad Real, Madrid, Zaragoza, Tarragona, Barcelona, etc …), as well as with Córdoba and Sevilla. From the train station it is necessary to change to the Bus station of Granada with bus or taxi (15 min. aprox) and, from there, to travel by bus to Salobreña (see information below). A taxi from the train station of Granada to Salobreña costs 75 € approximately and the trip takes 50 min. approximately.

It is also convenient the intermodal station of Malaga (call Maria Zambrano), placed 80 km from Salobreña. Just in front of that train station there is the Malaga Bus station, with frequent connections to Salobreña (see information below). Malaga is connected with many Spanish cities by excellent trains call AVE (high speed trains).

By BUS:

From Malaga Bus Station (placed in front of central train station María Zambrano):
Bus to Salobreña (company ALSA). Journey frequency – 4-5 every day , time of trip 2 hs . approximately, costs 8 ‘ 89 € approximately.
Also the bus to Almuñecar is convenient (some more frequencies), since the Hotel Salobreña Suites is placed between Almuñecar and Salobreña, on the national road that joins both towns.
From the Bus stop of Salobreña (or Almuñecar), you should take a taxi to the Hotel (approximately 7 € and 5 min. trip from Salobreña, and 12 € and 10 min. trip from Almuñecar).

From Granada (Bus Station):
Bus to Salobreña (company ALSA). Journey frequency every 2 hours approximately, time of trip 1 h. approximately, costs 6 ‘ 95 € approximately. From the Bus stop of Salobreña you should take a taxi to the Hotel Salobreña Suites (approximately 7 € and 5 min. trip)

From other cities:
Salobreña has also direct connection by bus (without transfer) with the cities of Madrid and Seville (once a day service during winter), as well as with other close Andalusian cities.
